Let's think about weight loss diets briefly. There are lots of them. We didn't count but at our local Barnes & Noble the diet book section measures 6 feet by 12 feet. That's 72 square feet (lots of pounds) of diet books!

Develop Your Own PERSONAL NUTRITION PROGRAM
We can't do it for you. Each of us is unique with different body types, weight loss goals, lifestyles and motivation.
So we suggest you sit down with yourself and list the foods you like and those you don't. Analyze which are "good" for you and which are "bad" without regard for whether you like them or not. For example a "good" fat is olive oil a "bad" fat is butter. List some foods you don't necessarily like (but you can tolerate) which are good for you. Remember, this is fuel for your body and it needs to be the right fuel. Understand that eating healthy food is not a punishment but rather a great gift you give yourself.
Make choices you can live with, choices that are healthy, choices contributing to your weight loss program. At the end of the process you will have a Personal Nutrition Program - a group of foods you are willing and committed to consume (for nutritional reasons) which will, over time, lead to steady, safe, measurable progress toward your weight objective.
Exercise
Weight loss programs which fail to encourage exercise are leaving something out.
Exercise contributes substantially to weight loss. While the amount of exercise recommended varies, you do not need a personal trainer, trips to the gym, or 5 mile jogs to boost your weight loss program. At a minimum three or four nice thirty to forty five minute walks per week (or it's equivalent) will do wonders for your progress. (Before you begin any exercise program consult with your physician.)
Exercise boosts your metabolism not only while you exercise, but more importantly it boosts your resting metabolic rate so that your body can become a 24 hour a day fat burner.
